ISO Survey 2004 announced

The ISO survey 2004 is just announced. According to the survey, there are over 670,000 ISO 9001 certificates in effective in the world, which represents an increase of 35% compared with previous year. For ISO 14001 certificates, there are over 90,000 recorded, which represents an increase of 37% compared with previous year. The survey result reflected that the market of ISO system certification is still in its growing stage. One of the interesting observations is that China now become the major market of ISO 9001. There are over 130,000 ISO 9001 certificates recorded in China, ehich accounts for about 20% of the world total. For ISO 14001, Japan is the top player with China is the second one.
